On November 27, 2024, a delegation from Jiangxi University of Water Resources and Electric Power, led by Director Xie Yunmin of the Office of Academic Affairs, visited the School of Entrepreneurship for research and exchange. Deputy Deans Ai Liang and Peng Huatao of the School attended the event. The research mainly focused on the exchange of experiences and methods in innovation and entrepreneurship education and reform, the college construction of innovation and entrepreneurship, the course construction of innovation and entrepreneurship, and the management of discipline competitions.
Firstly, Deputy Dean Ai Liang welcomed the visit of Director Xie Yunmin and his team and introduced the School’s explorations and practices in innovation and entrepreneurship education and reform. The School has always adhered to the core principle of cultivating students’ innovative spirit and entrepreneurial abilities, constructing a curriculum system, building practical platforms, organizing activities, and providing comprehensive educational services. In addition, Deputy Dean Ai Liang shared the School’s experiences in faculty, resource integration, and university-enterprise cooperation, highlighting the role of interdisciplinary collaborative innovation.
Next, Deputy Dean Peng Huatao made a discussion on the construction of innovation and entrepreneurship courses and the management of discipline competitions. He introduced the School’s characteristics in curriculum design, innovative teaching methods, and assessment. He emphasized that curriculum design should combine market and student realities and integrate theory with practice. In addition, Deputy Dean Peng Huatao also shared the School’s experiences in competition organization, instructor team building, incentives for participation, and achievement transformation, pointing out that academic competitions can test educational effectiveness, stimulate enthusiasm, and enhance students’ overall quality and competitiveness.
Finally, the participants from both sides engaged in a lively discussion on key and difficult issues in innovation and entrepreneurship education. Director Xie Yunmin raised questions and thoughts regarding teaching management and resource allocation. Deputy Deans Ai Liang and Peng Huatao responded and exchanged views based on their teaching and practical experiences. The atmosphere was lively, and interactions were frequent. Both sides inspired each other and jointly explored new ideas, methods, and paths for innovation and entrepreneurship education.
This research and exchange activity has built a good communication platform between the two universities. Both sides have reached many consensus in areas such as innovation and entrepreneurship education and reform, college construction, curriculum development, and discipline competition management, laying a solid foundation for further strengthening cooperation in the future. Both sides expressed that they will take this research and exchange as an opportunity to deepen the collaborative mechanism of innovation and entrepreneurship education continuously, integrate resources, form a joint force, and jointly promote innovation and entrepreneurship education to achieve more fruitful results, making greater contributions to the cultivation of high-quality applied talents with an innovative spirit, entrepreneurial awareness, and practical abilities.
