On the morning of March 14, the School of Entrepreneurship successfully held a seminar on writing and applying for projects of the National Social Science Fund of China in Classroom 602. The seminar was led by Professor Yang Yanping from Henan University of Technology, and it was attended by young faculty members planning to apply for various National Fund projects in 2025.
Professor Yang, drawing on her extensive academic experience and strong professional background, provided a systematic explanation of the writing and application process for projects of the National Social Science Fund of China from six key perspectives. In the section on project characteristics, Professor Yang introduced the nature, objectives, and funding directions of the projects, giving faculty and students a clear understanding of the project’s positioning. Regarding topic selection, she emphasized that the topic should align with national strategic needs and individual research expertise, ensuring a balance between innovation and feasibility. In the argumentation section, Professor Yang detailed how to use rigorous logic and adequate literature support to enhance the project’s persuasiveness. She also encouraged everyone to maintain patience and perseverance on their research journey, continuously refining their application materials. Additionally, she highlighted common issues in the application process, such as the format, language expression, and layout of application materials, helping faculty and students avoid pitfalls.
During the interactive discussion, Professor Liu Qin, Associate Professor Li Lucheng, Dr. Li Zhubo, and other teachers engaged in in-depth discussions with Professor Yang. Professor Yang addressed their concerns in the project application process, providing practical and actionable advice.
This seminar deepened the faculty and students' understanding of projects of the National Social Science Fund of China and provided highly instructive suggestions for the subsequent application process. In the future, the School will continue to build more platforms for learning and exchange, supporting the enhancement of faculty and students' research capabilities and the transformation of academic achievements.
