To inspire the innovation and entrepreneurial vitality of college students and deepen their understanding of entrepreneurial theory, the School of Entrepreneurship successfully hosted the "Entrepreneurs in the Classroom" event on December 24, 2024. The event was honored to invite Dai Shiqi, a trainer from the American College of Sports Medicine and the founder of Wuhan Jidu Fitness, to share his entrepreneurial journey with students in Classroom 603 of the School of Entrepreneurship. He also provided valuable guidance on student entrepreneurship and employment. The event was moderated by Associate Professor Li Lucheng from the School of Entrepreneurship, with all undergraduates from the Entrepreneurship Management 2301 class and graduate students participating.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Dai shared his personal experiences, recounting his journey from the early spark of entrepreneurial ambition in his youth to balancing academics and work during his graduate studies to eventually bravely resigning and starting his own business. He emphasized several key concepts, such as "The most important thing in entrepreneurship is survival," "Entrepreneurship requires strategic planning and hands-on involvement," and "Good health and a positive mindset are the foundation of entrepreneurship." Through his detailed sharing, students gained insight into crucial details of the entrepreneurial process, such as equity distribution and selecting business partners, providing them with a more comprehensive understanding of company establishment and governance.
Following the presentation, students actively engaged by asking questions and had an in-depth exchange with Mr. Dai. In response to questions such as "How to integrate entrepreneurial resources upwards?" "How to engage in scientific fitness and exercise?" and "How to maintain a healthy diet and sleep?", he provided professional answers based on his personal experience. Mr. Dai encouraged students to be bold in innovation, push their limits, maintain an optimistic and proactive attitude in the face of setbacks and difficulties, and strive to reach the peaks of both their careers and lives.
The "Entrepreneurs in the Classroom" event not only allowed students to gain a more direct understanding of the entrepreneurial process across different industries but also made them realize that entrepreneurship is a large and complex system project that requires profound professional knowledge and resource integration capabilities. The School of Entrepreneurship will continue to strengthen industry-academia-research collaboration and focus on cultivating students' innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills, helping more aspiring young people realize their entrepreneurial dreams.
