On the morning of March 6th, Peng Chen, Principal of Asian Affairs for the Sino-French Engineer Program, visited the School of Entrepreneurship. In Conference Room 601 of the School, an in-depth discussion was held on topics such as international science and technology innovation training, joint course construction, and competition collaboration. The meeting was presided over by Peng Huatao, Deputy Dean of the School of Entrepreneurship, with some faculty representatives in attendance.

During the winter vacation, Project Director Peng Chen led students on a three-week study tour to France. At the meeting, Mr. Peng Chen shared the achievements of the study tour in detail. In France, the students not only visited internationally renowned engineering colleges, research institutions, and incubators but also jointly explored cutting-edge issues in the field of engineering with French faculty and students. Mr. Peng Chen emphasized that the study tour not only enhanced the students’ professional quality but also honed their cross-cultural communication skills. Deputy Dean Peng Huatao pointed out that this study tour validated the effectiveness of the cooperative model between the two sides and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Subsequently, the two sides reached a consensus on several cooperation topics, including the international science and technology innovation training camp during the summer semester, the construction of an internationalized curriculum system, collaboration on the international track of the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition, and the establishment of the China-Europe International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Center. Mr. Peng Chen stated that France has accumulated rich experience in organizing science and technology innovation competitions and transforming such competitions’ achievements. In the future, both sides will cooperate to introduce more innovation and entrepreneurship resources, build cross-border project incubation channels, and provide strong support for participating student teams, helping them compete for international awards. During the exchange, both sides agreed that the cooperation would further strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship education model. By implementing the Sino-French dual-mentor system and introducing real-world corporate projects, both sides will jointly cultivate compound talents with an international perspective to meet society’s demand for high-quality talent.

This symposium marks the transition of cooperation between the two sides from short-term projects to a more systematic and in-depth stage of collaborative innovation. It is anticipated that in the future, the two sides will continue to explore new cooperation paths in areas such as talent cultivation, injecting new international momentum into the School’s discipline construction.
