[School News]Successful Conclusion of China–Europe Innovation Practice Winter Study Camp

2025-03-10 12:10

To deepen international educational cooperation and cultivate innovation-and-entrepreneurship talents with global competitiveness, the School of Entrepreneurship—in partnership with France’s Estia Engineering School—has successfully wrapped up the China–Europe Innovation Practice Winter Study Camp. Two graduate student representatives from our academy departed on January 24, 2025, for the three-week program, which adopted a “dual-city, dual-phase” model: the first phase took place in Érdőm (Spain) for industrial research, followed by an intensive study phase in Bidart (France), forming a complete “theory–practice–application” training chain.

In Érdőm, the camp opened with an introduction to startup project selection and team formation. Participants from China, France, Spain, and Finland formed multinational teams based on shared interests. Each team progressed through project selection, market research, business‐model development, and prototype design, ultimately producing commercially viable innovation proposals. During the field study, students visited Spain’s technology‐innovation clusters, examined the operating models of European innovation hubs, and engaged in academic exchanges at renowned local institutions. In the interim presentations, teams delivered their project concepts in English and received unanimous praise from the academic mentors.

Upon relocating to Bidart, the program entered its “innovation acceleration” stage, offering courses that integrated theory with hands-on practice. Newly formed international teams focused on three key areas—artificial intelligence, smart hardware, and digital services—and incubated projects such as AI‐powered smart glasses, intelligent sleep‐quality optimization systems, and a cross-border cultural tourism service platform. As the camp drew to a close, each group had advanced their ideas from concept through implementation. The closing ceremony at Estia Engineering School marked the program’s completion, with all participants receiving certificates of study.

Through collaborative, cross-cultural teamwork, participants enhanced their intercultural communication skills and honed their innovative thinking in real-world business contexts. The Academy of Entrepreneurship will continue to deepen its international training models to nurture outstanding innovation-and-entrepreneurship talent with a global perspective, empowering more students to shine on the world’s innovation stage.
