To effectively address the undergraduates’ questions about academic planning and career development in the Entrepreneurship Management major—and to help students clarify their professional positioning and define their growth paths—on the evening of April 13 the School of Entrepreneurship held a Q&A session for the Entrepreneurship Management major in Room 406. The meeting was chaired by student counselor Jia Yingdi and featured Associate Professor Liu Zhenyuan, Chair of the Entrepreneurship Management Department, as the keynote speaker. All undergraduates in the major were in attendance.
At the start of the session, Professor Liu systematically outlined the diverse career paths available to Entrepreneurship Management graduates by presenting case studies of exemplary alumni. Next, in response to students’ widespread concerns about internships, he drew on the college’s resources to provide detailed guidance on choosing industries and building the necessary skills. He advised students to “anchor your career track in your interests and match your abilities to market demands,” and he assured them that the college will continue to integrate high-quality internship opportunities and build practical platforms for hands-on experience. Finally, Professor Liu tackled the deeper questions students had raised—such as the core strengths of the Entrepreneurship Management major—offering an in-depth analysis from three perspectives: the program’s training objectives, its curriculum structure, and its distinctive methodological approach. He encouraged all attendees to broaden their learning and cultivate their own core competencies.
This event significantly deepened students’ understanding of their major. Participants reported that the Q&A not only clarified ambiguities in their academic planning but also provided a clearer roadmap for future internships and career development. The college will continue to monitor students’ needs in academic planning and career advancement, organize similar Q&A events, create additional forums for exchange and learning, and support the cultivation of Entrepreneurship Management talents who are well-equipped for the demands of the new era.
